India’s practice embraces materiality and tactility of her process and is heavily influenced by the natural environment, establishing the foundations of her artistic practice in lutruwita (Tasmania, Australia). This wild and abundant island landscapes effects are potent through her evolution as an artist. The raw and absorbent fibres that hold the weight of her paintings speak of glimpses and memory of place she grew so close to. While her installations stand solid and proud of these intimate encounters; composing of water, rock and plant matter- assembled systems of the land trickling, melting and growing with time.
